Abstract

The authors consider the electrochemical process to be metal dissolution, M equals M** plus **n plus ne. The authors derive the response, di/dw** one-half , of the disk to sinusoidal speed (w) modulation under a controlled light flux equivalent to a saturation photocurrent, i. The theory was tested experimentally with the electrochemical case of a mercury-coated rotating disk dissolving into 1M HC1O//4, series coupled to an illuminated p-n silicon junction. The analysis of this data is discussed.
