Abstract

Consideration of the general form of the convective-diffusion equation shows that the only presently used electrode systems which have uniform accessibility and steady-state currents are the rotating disc, wall-tube and membrane electrodes. The convective-diffusion equation for the wall-tube, electrode is derived and shown to be identical in form to that for the rotating disc.
