Abstract
A probabilistic framework for simulation of problems with uncertain material properties in geomechanics has been outlined. The methodology is based on spectral stochastic finite element method and on the Eulerian-Lagrangian form of Fokker-Planck-Kolmogorov equation recently developed for probabilistic elasto-plasticity. The proposed methodology is demonstrated on low and high OCR modified Cam Clay models. Copyright ASCE 2007.
