Translational pharmacology and HIV reservoir eradication strategies

Abstract

Current translational pharmacology goals include gaining an understanding of the mechanisms that lead to reactivation of latent virus, development of methods for immune clearance of HIV-1 infected cells and pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and pharmacogenomic considerations that influence virus reactivation and clearance from reservoirs.
