Abstract

Flexible electronics find a number of important applications that rigid chip based electronics are unable to easily fill in. Semiconductor nanomembrane (NM) based flexible electronics provides high speed capabilities with superior mechanical properties resulting from ultra-thin thickness and the high material quality of their single crystalline active materials. In this paper, we summarize and discuss various electrical components based on semiconductor nanomembrane (NM). The evolvement of radio frequency (RF) flexible Si NM thin-film transistors (TFTs) and single-pole single-throw (SPST) switches will be overviewed as examples of electrical components.
