Thermal noise imaging of cell membrane stiffness and tracking of membrane protein motion

Abstract

The thermal motion of membrane proteins is analyzed to create high resolution maps of the cell membrane stiffness, the protein diffusion and potential traps. We discuss the technical requirements and present novel results.
