Abstract
The dynamic behavior of a highly dense coagulating aerosol flowing in a straight tube is investigated with a computer program which determines the time dependent particle size distribution function. In addition to Brownian, gravitational and turbulent coagulation, such removal mechanisms as the gravitational settling, laminar/turbulent deposition and laminar/turbulent thermophoretic deposition are included. The computer program covers the changes of the particle size over three orders of magnitude (typically 0. 01 to 30 mu m) without assuming any fixed form of the distribution function.
