Abstract

The transport and structural properties of EuBa2Cu 3O7-x (Eu123) films on SrTiO3 substrates were reported. A substrate temperature 100°C, which was higher than that used to deposit YBa2Cu3O7-x (Y123) was needed to grow high-performance Eu123 films directly on SrTiO3 substrates. The high-temperature restriction could be circumvented by inserting a seed layer of Gd123, Y123 or Dy123 between the substrate and the Eu123.
