Abstract

We have investigated the dependence of the 0.7 feature in a quantum point contact on variation of a back-gate voltage, which is used to control the density of the two-dimensional electron gas in its reservoirs. In measurements at 1.8 K, we analyze the dependence of the transconductance to carefully extract the variation of the 0.7 feature with electron density.
