Abstract
The charge form factor of 6Li is calculated in the intermediate coupling shell model using ground state wave functions which give correctly many other nuclear properties of the state including the quadrupole moment. It is found that the effect of short range correlation is important in explaining the large observed values of the charge form factor at high momentum transfers.
