Abstract
We report calculations of second-order perturbation corrections within the method of correlated basis functions (CBF) for the OMY nuclear interaction. For nuclear matter, Monte Carlo integration enables us to evaluate independently the accuracy of approximations made in previous calculations. We suggest a prescription which permits substantial improvements within the framework of those calculations.
