Tegretol dependency and diversion of the sense of taste

An alcoholic patient exchanged his addiction to alcohol for an addiction to Tegretol. This drug influenced his sense of taste to such a degree that he was unable to drink alcohol. This phenomenon lasted the whole time he was taking the drug, and even continued months after he had stopped taking it.
