Abstract

In this paper the effect of field sweep-rate on the fluctuation field (H_f) is examined. Measurements of H_f for a CrO₂ medium at different values of sweep rates (R) show that H_f is independent of R when the data is analyzed according to the equation of state model. These results agree with the theoretical treatment of the problem that also show H_f independent of field sweep-rate.
