STEAM GASIFICATION OF GRAPHITE USING PLATINUM, BARIUM, AND PLATINUM-BARIUM CATALYSTS.

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

Bifunctional catalysts offer the potential benefit of improved catalyst performance. This benefit may be realized either in terms of reactivity or selectivity gains. In the present study the platinum-barium system has been examined. The authors discuss first the mechanisms of the catalytic action of pure components. A rationale for choosing this system is then given. The experimental results involving the morphology and kinetics of the individual catalysts is presented. Finally, the same properties of the mixed system are presented.
