Abstract

The aims of this study were to examine the opsonic activity for S. mutans of antisera to a number of S. mutans antigens, in an attempt to assess the importance of these antibodies in caries immunity. The inclusion of S. mutans strains of different serotypes which share certain of these antigens, has indicated the possible relation of these antigens to the cross-serotype immunity.
