Abstract

We report new measurements of the specific heat of unsaturated ⁴He films formed on 2000 Å Nuclepore filters. The data show a rounded maximum shifted from the bulk λ temperature. This shift agrees well in magnitude with that determined from other measurements of the onset of superfluid flow.
