Abstract
The McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Centre is a new out of town shopping center located near Ashford in Kent (UK). Designed by the Richard Rogers Partnership. The 210,000 sq.ft project includes the largest continuous membrane structure in the world. The PVDF tensile fabric roof is supported by a steel structure with 24 steel masts of differing heights, connected by a network of cables. A series of polycarbonate occuli bring shafts of natural light into the complex.
