Abstract
The McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Centre near Ashford, Kent (UK) boasts the largest continuous membrane structure in the world. The roof is a PVDF tensile fabric structure supported by a steel structure with 24 raking steel masts of different heights, connected by cables. The fabric covers an area of 33,000 sq.m and is same 1 km long.
