Abstract

The role of SrRuO3 (SRO) buffer layers on the superconducting properties of YBa2Cu3O7 (YBCO) films was discussed. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning tunneling microscopy (SEM) were discussed. Results showed that SRO has excellent buffer layer on ion-beam-assisted deposition (IBAD) MgO template for YBCO superconductor coatings.
