Abstract
The physical and chemical property of graphite in terms of intercalation compounds, exfoliated form, activated form, fibers and oxidation protection was presented. Graphite reacted with a large number of acids to form intercalation compounds which were referred as acid salts of graphite. Activated carbon was typically made by heating a carbon precursor or a carbon material in a reactive atmosphere.
