Abstract
A site investigation and evaluation of alternative remedial measures at the Pollution Abatement Services (PAS) waste site located in Oswego, New York. It was found that the groundwater underlying the PAS site was highly contaminated by a wide variety of pollutants. To determine the treatability of the contaminated groundwater and leachate collected from the PAS site, a pilot study was conducted. The purpose of this paper is to review the final treatment processes selected, while highlighting the studies concerning intermittent biological treatment.
