Abstract
Treatment of H2Os3(CO)10 with excess ethylene forms ethane and a hydridovinyl cluster complex HOs3(CO)10(CHCH2), which rearranges in refluxing octane to the vinylidene complex H2Os3(CO)9(CCH2).
