Abstract
This paper presents a method for range-speed imaging of moving targets. The approach is based on illuminating the target region with an FM-CW signal. The inversion in this imaging problem involves a partitioning of the echoed signals in the frequency domain followed by a transformation. The system model and inversionin this imaging method does not approximate a moving target’s Doppler shift to be a constant over the bandwidth of the transmitted signaland does not put any restrictions on the target’s range.
