Abstract
However, for there to be learning there must be a problem. This chapter explores questions that unmoor the texts of pedagogy from foundational claims. I ask how the dynamics of popular culture, queer theory, and the instability of reading might open some questions into the dynamics of identification, community, and new desires. What does it mean to live with and in social difference? How do communities already complicate themselves in their willingness and in their failure to experiment with new forms of life?.
