Abstract

An inexpensive electronic interface which controls the flow of a phase-detected signal from a Michelson interferometer to a signal averager is described. This interface is designed to add the advantages of signal averaging techniques to an existing slow scan interferometer system which employs phase sensi¬tive detection and time constant averaging.
