Abstract
High-critical-temperature (high-Tc) superconductors were introduced by Bednorz and Muller a decade ago. Since then, large-scale bulk applications of cuprate superconductors began to look feasible. A number of industries worldwide are gearing up to demonstrate their first commercial prototypes. This article details some of this prototypes. Additionally, the current status and future of high-Tc superconductors are highlighted.
