Abstract

The correlation functions of pairs of identical pions, extracted from pi +or- meson production in pi -A (A=p,d,C,Cu,Pb) collisions at 38 GeV/c by high-Pt trigger, show an enhancement at small values of the pions' relative momenta. The radii R of the pion source were calculated using different parametrizations in pion interferometry. The values of R vary from 0.8 to 2 fm in different interactions with Pt>1 GeV/c. Significant changes of the pion source parameters for different Pt momenta cuts have not been observed.
