Abstract

John Yeon was one of the first practitioners of a regional architecture in the United States' Pacific Northwest, and was engaged in the development of an experimental passive environmental control system for natural ventilation. This paper describes John Yeon's efforts to develop the ventilator, as well to understand how experiments in passive environmental control systems under programs such as the National Register of Historic Places.
