Plasmonic-enhanced Si schottky barrier solar cell

Abstract

By introducing plasmonic silver nanoparticles on top of a SiO2 spacer layer, we enhance the power conversion efficiency of a Si-based Schottky barrier solar cell by 80% (from 2.5% to 4.5%).
