Plasmas for Lighting Workshop

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

This workshop will focus on plasma-cathode interactions. Several fundamental topics will be discussed. Topics which are important for a better understanding of the role of electrode and related processes involved in discharge formation (pressures on the order of 10 torr and up) and in high-pressure arc operation (about 10 atm) will be emphasized. Starting and operation of HID (high intensity discharge) lamps will be the main application considered.
