Abstract

Piezoelectric cement-based materials with large coupling and voltage coefficients were discussed. A strong piezoelectric effect was attained by using steel fibers. The comparative piezoelectric performance of various cement pastes and PZT was shown. The voltage change resulting from the cement paste was found to be 73% of that resulting from PZT.
