Abstract

Phase-matching-free SHG is observed from a monolayer WSe2 placed in a Yb3+ doped picosecond fiber oscillator. The mode-locking and laser output of the fiber oscillator are unaffected. This enables applications in self-referencing f-2f frequency combs.
