Abstract

We consider the compartmental analysis in pharmacokinetics when uncertainties in our knowledge of the rate constants are taken into account. The rate constants are considered as random variables in this article and the joint probability distribution of the drug concentrations are determined. The significance of this stochastic approach is illustrated by simple compartmental models.
