Abstract

Porokeratosis (PK) consists of a group of mucocutaneous lesions, including some with a significant rate of malignant transformation. Oral PK has been rarely reported. Awareness of its clinical presentation, histopathological features, and appropriate management are necessary to avoid misdiagnosis and overtreatment. While the potential of oral PK to undergo malignant transformation remains unanswered, this report highlights an unfamiliar condition affecting the oral cavity. We present three new cases of oral PK and review the pertinent literature.
