NON EQUILIBRIUM BEHAVIOR OF SUPERCONDUCTING WEAK LINKS AT LOW VOLTAGES.

Abstract

A model derived from the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau (TDGL) equation has been suggested in order to account for non equilibrium behavior of the pairs. In the RSJ tau model H. H. Jensen and R. E. Lindelof solved the one-dimensional TDGL equation by analogous computation in which the size-dependence of the superconducting weak link has been neglected. The author shows that by including this size-dependence in the RSJ tau model, analytical solutions can be obtained. These solutions can be conveniently employed to describe some dynamical properties of the superconducting pairs. It can also be shown that a ″cos phi″ term should be present in both the supercurrent and the pair density.
