Abstract

A prototype temperature stage and low optical cell system was described for precise and rapid temperature control over a broad temperature range. The small micro cuvettes were used to minimize sample consumption and also shortened the time to equilibrate between temperature adjustments. The new temperature range was found to be superior to conventional temperature control elements in various aspects. The system was designed to exhibit an operating temperature range that can be adjusted from -120 to +100°C.
