Neurobehavioral abnormalities resulting from brain tumorsand their therapy

As the survivals of children with certain types of brain tumors have improved, the cognitive and behavioral abnormalities found in many long-term survivors have become increasingly important. The reasons for these intellectual and behavioral deficits are multifactorial and reflect the influence of the tumor's location and biology, the age of the patient, and the adverse effects of surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy.
