Near-threshold structures in inner-shell photoabsorption processes of N[Formula Presented] and CO

Abstract

The photoabsorption spectra near the [Formula Presented] threshold of N[Formula Presented] and CO are calculated by the multiscattering self-consistent-field method. Our calculated near-threshold spectra are in good agreement with the experimental data. All the excited states are treated in a unified manner in the framework of the quantum defect theory. The [Formula Presented] model potential with the relaxed core hole is adopted in our calculation.
