Natural correlated inclined defects in DyBa2Cu3O 7

Abstract

The method to induce naturally correlated inclined defects in DyBa 2Cu3O7 was investigated. Three Dy-123 films were grown on single crystal SrTiO3 substrates using pulsed laser deposition. The films were patterned to a bridge geometry using wet photolithography, and four-probe transport measurements were performed were with samples immersed in liquid nitrogen. The results show the presence of correlated tilted defects besides the c-axis oriented defects found in Y-123, the combined effects produced a strong pinning.
