Abstract
Offering effective training for mental health professionals serving within integrated primary care is critical to reaping the population benefits of the integrated care model. This study examines outcomes from the Veterans Affairs’ national competency training program on IPC, which used both didactic and hands-on skills training methods. Participants showed significant improvement in integrated primary care competencies and positive impact on veteran experience of same-day access and a broader reach of services to the population.
