Nanofabrication of EGaIn Liquid Metal Near-Infrared Photonic Structures

Abstract

We demonstrate nanofabrication of eutectic gallium-indium (EGaIn) liquid metal (LM) nanostructures using a facile and reliable method based on selective wetting between gold and EGaIn LM. Nanostructures with critical feature sizes down to ∼500 nm are achieved, which show optical responses in the near-infrared region.
