Multicanonical Monte Carlo of first- and second-order PMD

Abstract

It is shown in this paper that the multicanonical Monte Carlo method can be used to simultaneously compute first- and second-order polarization mode dispersion (PMD) statistics, demonstrating that it has the potential to produce results similar to those obtained with importance sampling.
