Abstract

Measurements of temperature and two components of velocity were taken in a hot air turbulent plume using a hot wire anemometer system. Profiles of mean fluctuating velocity and temperature, including Reynolds stress and turbulent heat flux, are presented. The measurements are shown to satisfy the constraints imposed by the mean momentum and energy equations in differential form. (from author's abstract)
