Abstract
A solid-state Nd:YAG laser with diode pumping and intracavity frequency doubling on a nonlinear BBO crystal has been created, and its optical characteristics have been investigated. The maximum radiation power at a wavelength of 473 nm in the cw regime, obtained experimentally, was 15mW when the diode-pump power was 1.17W. The differential efficiency of pump-energy conversion to the second harmonic reached 2.5% in this case.
