Abstract
The degree of mineralization on substrates modified with peptides derived from the amino acid sequence of BMP-7 was examined. The primary cells were cultured on substrates under standard conditions in mineralization media. The results suggest that peptides derived from BMP-7 can be covalently immobilized on material surfaces to support osteoblast differentiation and mineralization.
