Abstract

1. The affinity of binding of quinuclidinyl benzilate to muscarinic cholinergic receptors is altered non-linearly by changes in assay temperature and membrane composition. 2. Membrane composition was changed by acclimation of frogs (Rana pipiens pipiens) to different temperatures. 3. Assay temperature probably has its effect through altered membrane fluidity.
