Abstract
We report magneto-optical studies of ZnSe/(Zn,Mg)(S,Se) quantum wells with n-type modulation doping. Polarized photoluminescence and spin-flip Raman scattering spectroscopy is used to investigated the energy and spin structure of neutral and negatively charged excitons. The binding energy of charged excitons changes very little in magnetic fields up to 15 T. An inverted population of neutral exciton spin sublevels is found in magnetic fields; it is associated with the spin-dependent formation of charged excitons.
