Abstract

Equalization-enhanced phase noise-dominated optical carrier frequency jitter tolerance and linewidth requirement for ≥ 64Gbaud DP-16QAM dispersion-unmanaged coherent systems have been investigated. The implication to future 100 Gbaud systems is delineated.
