Abstract
With the availability of digital photogrammetric workstations digital photogrammetry makes its entry also into the photogrammetric production environment. The powerful hardware and software environment of this workstation offers the opportunity to expand existing concepts by incorporating methods developed in artificial intelligence. Such methods considerably increase the degree of automation. Many tasks performed by photogrammetry operators defy conventional computer solutions. This paper describes an approach to reconstruct surfaces which play an important role in object recognition and image understanding. -from Authors
