Joining and building a successful private practice

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceeding › Chapter › peer-review

Abstract

Joining and building a practice seems similar to a daunting task after completing a long and difficult training. As much as we learn about vascular disease and their management, very little time is spent on learning on how to apply for a job and prepare for an interview and when you have a job, how to establish and grow the practice. The chapter below describes how to find the best practice suited for an individual and tips on choosing the right one. We talk about team-building strategies developing and growing the referral network. Included are best practice metrics guidelines to evaluate productivity and efficiency and key performance indicators to review on a regular basis.
